ABOUT THE POSITION
Join the DACH market Leader on their quest to transform the sales units of B2B companies.
ComX is seeking a Head of Marketing for our Berlin office. The position comes with a huge opportunity and is pivotal to ComX and our commercial team's success. You will be reporting directly to the CRO, collaborating closely with the CEO and Head of Sales, and moving a business with outstanding product-market fit to become a European category leader for B2B Sales Enablement.

If managing and executing projects in Performance Marketing, Multichannel content creation, B2B community building, and brand building get you excited, then this opening will be a great next move.

ComX already has one of the most profitable revenue operations in Europe in place while maintaining strong annual growth rates of 90%+.

In 2022, we added Flex Capital, a next-generation PE fund to our shareholders to move ComX to European expansion and leadership.

Right now, we are finishing the merger with two other companies from Flex Capital's portfolio that significantly expand our product and service capabilities, transforming us into the only full End-to-End-Sales B2B-Enablement-Player on the market that is powered by true AI.

The goal is to further professionalize the Marketing department and support our growth trajectory with a solid Marketing approach.

Hence, we are looking for a seasoned marketing leader with strategic as well as hands-on experience from a fast-paced B2B environment with a previous track record in B2B growth marketing, performance, and content.
YOUR TASK
  • Professionalise Performance Marketing: Lead our Performance agency YOYABA towards maximising output on our budgets. Understand the potential for in-sourcing tasks over time. Work on improving funnel conversion, test against hypothesis, and make our performance stream best-in-class

  • Build the marketing function: Assess existing resources in marketing to optimise the split between FTEs from other teams in cross-functional teams and external vendors. Set up Functional OKRs and execution plans with the team.

  • Scale Content Production: Content is only getting started at ComX. Establish a scalable high-quality content process across platforms to drive SEO, Social Media, events, thought leadership, and community growth. Create a team that is self-sustaining and operating in top-notch quality across all channels.

  • Mature Reporting & KPIs: Make ComX Marketing a fully data-driven operation. Directly reporting to the CRO - create quarterly budgeting, OKR setting, and adjustments.
YOUR PROFILE

Must Haves: 

  • Performance Marketing: 5+ Years. You either have built performance marketing teams or managed accounts and budgets 1MM+ with agencies. You understand how to manage external and internal stakeholders, rebuild conversion funnels where they break, and test new funnels effectively

  • Content Creation: 3+ years. You lead strategic content creation across platforms increasing SEO as well as other organic traffic sources. You have an affinity for Video production and understand what great storytelling is. You understand how to derive industry trends and move them with your team from ideas to Assets (Ads, Articles, Blog Posts, or LinkedIn Posts on scale). You have a knack for AI and know how to leverage up-and-coming tools like ChatGPT to maximise output

  • Leadership: 3+ years. You have contributed to the commercial strategies of your previous employers by being a sparring partner for C Level and Sales

  • B2B Customer Journey: 3+ years. You understand what a B2B Sales team needs from marketing to increase closing rate, and you know what assets are needed to support the sales funnel. You are also seasoned in the B2B customer journey going across marketing, sales, onboarding as well as retaining and upselling

  • You have managed agreed budgets in the past against clearly quantifiable marketing goals and are used to execute with your team on tight deadlines and deliver great quality results

  • Ability to navigate a fast-changing environment and not being afraid to execute and getting things done yourself

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; you are comfortable in coordinating multi-stakeholder presentations & meetings (remotely or in-person)

  • German-native speaker or German bilingual - all our campaigns are in German and aimed at a German-speaking audience

  • Fluent in English (C2 CEFR equivalent) - we do have a team in Cape Town and our company language is English

  • An eye for solid presentation and visuals in a high-end format

  • Experience with Google Workspace tools like Google Docs, with an emphasis on superior Google Sheets skills

Nice-to-haves: 

  • Comfortable in a highly remote and agile environment (high speed, different office locations, remote work)

  • Experience working with Webflow and/or HubSpot

  • An eye for great work: You can distinguish good from great design

  • Experience working in VC- or PE-backed environment
